Primary School's Reading Circle - July 2019

Artemis Tree Services installed an outdoor classroom at a local junior school. St Mary and All Saints Church of England Primary School in Beaconsfield asked for our help to create a reading circle to create more opportunity for outdoor learning. The English Outdoor Council has shown that direct experience outdoors motivates children and “allows participants to develop values and opinions that are informed by first hand experience of the natural world”. By working with the school we are hopeful that more children will develop an affinity with our great outdoors and its flora and fauna, building a future generation of tree lovers.

Harefield Hospital Healing Garden - June 2019

Artemis very proudly sponsored and assisted with Harefield Hospital’s new healing garden. The team donated their skills to ensure the current trees are in the perfect condition.

We’re grateful to work on such a worthwhile project and hope the new space, once completed, will be enjoyed by patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.

Lightning Damaged Tree Removal - June 2019

Artemis Tree Services Ltd were instructed by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council to remove a 25m tall pine tree that had been struck by lightning some time ago!

This was made particularly difficult as the tree had 4 bee’s nests nestled between the cracks of the lightning strike! As we know bees are endangered so these had to be removed carefully by our team at midnight on the night prior to the trees removal, whilst accompanied by a bee specialist.

Once the nests were safely removed we could remove the dangerous tree. This involved a full road closure to enable access for the 35 tonne crane! Once the road was closed we were able to remove the tree in 5m sections with all the large branches going into our 12 inch wood chipper and all the large cordwood getting loaded directly onto our 18 tonne Hiab truck.

After only 4 hours we were able to re-open the road! Leaving it clean and safe! Residents on site praised the team for the clean tidy up and the minimal disruption caused! All the resulting debris was taken back to our HQ were 100% of it will be recycled and turned into biomass energy.

On the whole, I was very happy with the work carried out by the team. I had a number of different gentlemen on the job over the 3 days and they were courteous, professional and polite, as well as very hardworking. They were very efficient and also cleaned up well after themselves. It was a long job and the weather was hot, but they really soldiered on. The issue I had with the stumps not being removed, was quickly addressed and you sent someone around at the earliest possible convenience, the next morning. Apart from that, I was very happy with the service I received from Artemis. We are due to have further works done to the trees in a few months time (once permission has been granted) and I will certainly contact you for a quote, and feel happy knowing I will get a good outcome.

Willow Tree Removal - September 2016

A client needed a dangerously damaged 10mtr high Willow tree removing from the end of their mature garden. We removed the tree and ground out the stump so no trace of the Willow was left behind, without causing damage to any other areas of the garden.

Windmill Drive - Rickmansworth - Wednesday 4th June 2014

With a massive 30 metre high Corsican Pine situated within an enclosed garden, there is only one way to remove it; by crane, over the top of the building!

Artemis utilised a 130 tonne crane to help with removing the tree in sections (the section of trunk seen in this gallery being cut and lifted, weighed 3.7 tonnes)
