Related Services: Stump Removal & Grinding, Tree Planting
We recently completed a transformation project in a customer’s front garden in Gerrards Cross. The existing privet hedge (ligustrum ovalifolium) had grown to around 3 metres in height and was no longer suitable for the space.
The homeowner wanted to remove it entirely to make way for a fresh, newly designed hedgerow.
Our team carefully felled the entire hedge and used specialist stump grinding equipment to grind each stump to a depth of around 200mm below ground level.
This prevents regrowth and prepares the soil for replanting. We left the stump grindings in place to naturally settle, support the ground level and suppress the weeds, saving the client additional time and cost associated with soil removal and replacement.
With the area cleared and level, we then planted around 30 new laurel shrubs supplied by the client, spacing them to allow for strong root development and an even, attractive finish.
The result is a clean, revitalised boundary that will mature into a healthy and well-structured hedgerow.
The before-and-after pictures speak for themselves: what was once an overgrown barrier now has the foundations for a smart, fresh frontage that enhances the garden.
If you’re considering hedge removal, stump grinding, or replanting, our team would be happy to help bring your vision to life.
