Artemis has established an excellent reputation for domestic tree work from hedge trimming to annual fruit tree pruning, with many clients coming back to us year after year.
We also run a thriving commercial tree work operation with a range of specialist equipment including a MEWP (mobile elevating work platform), an 18 ton grab lorry, large capacity woodchippers, very capable stump grinders and skid steers with log grabs. We are very well placed to take on larger scale work from a singular tree to a whole site clearance.
Trees need regular management to keep them safe, healthy and aesthetically pleasing. Every organisation that has large grounds or oversees the management and maintenance of properties has a legal obligation to keep on-site trees safe for employees, clients and visitors.
Our team of arborists are fully qualified and experienced at working in a range of commercial environments – from offering advice at the initial consultation through to surveys and the resulting work on site.
Whether it’s felling trees around demolition or building work, reducing trees at a school or hotel, or maintaining trees in stately homes or golf courses, our team are highly skilled.
We are an Arb Association Approved Contractor which is the only comprehensive accreditation scheme for tree work, this ensures we have professional working practices, quality management procedures and a stringent health & safety policy.
A private country estate near Beaconsfield has been using Artemis since 2015 for everything from trimming ancient yew hedges to felling trees on its wider estate properties. The central manor house (c 1675, listed grade II) has extensive formal gardens whilst the larger estate comprises numerous properties in the main town.
Over the years Artemis has carried out a wide range of tree work at the estate, in the grounds of the main house and in gardens of properties in Beaconsfield town. Examples of some of the estate management work we’ve done include:
- Annual trimming and shaping of ancient yew hedge
- Pruning large Fir to remove a branch damaged in a storm.
- Pollarding a Goat Willow to maintain its shape
- Trimming a Beech & Leyland Cypress hedge to allow access
- Felling 17m high Sycamore
- Crown reduction of Oak tree
- Crown reduction on Eucalyptus
- Maintaining topiary trees in house lawns
- Annual crown reduction of apple tree
- Trimming back Yew hedge to open views up to ancient monument
- Crown lift 14m Maple to allow access to parking
Giles Paddison, Estate Manager, had this to say about Artemis:
“The team at Artemis do a great job on the annual yew trimming on the estate every year. They are tidy, polite and courteous and always make sure that the client is happy with the work on completion”
