Hedge Trimming
We were recently called upon by a private country estate in Buckinghamshire to trim their historic yew hedges.
Our task encompassed carefully trimming the hedges, removing up to one metre from the top and shaping their sides to maintain their pristine appearance. Utilising our MEWP (mobile elevating work platform) and specialised hedge cutters, our skilled team efficiently carried out the work on-site. As part of our standard practice, all waste materials were responsibly removed from the site for recycling, as is the approach for all our jobs.
As an existing customer we have been entrusted with the upkeep of the estate’s trees and hedges for many years and always look forward to working with them. This recent job shows our expertise extends beyond trees to encompass the care of hedges and sizable shrubs, and our ongoing work ensures the entire estate remains meticulously maintained.
Trees Have a Story to Tell
Here at Artemis, we enjoy working on private estates and stately homes as the trees and hedges often hold a significant historical value dating back centuries, witnessing the passage of time and the change in the estate’s landscape.
Each tree bears witness to the events and people that have shaped the history of the estate. From royal visits and grand celebrations to periods of conflict and societal changes, these trees silently record the stories and memories of generations past, connecting the present with the past and providing a visible link to the heritage of the estate. By preserving and caring for these historic trees, we ensure that their stories continue to be told for generations to come.
Large Estate Management
Large country estates often boast extensive woodland areas, which require regular maintenance to ensure the health and vitality of the trees. By conducting tree work, such as pruning, thinning, and general tree maintenance, plus hedge trimming, we help enhance the aesthetic appeal of the estate while promoting the growth of healthy trees.
Artemis are well equipped to work on larger scale projects. Our expertise and experience are coupled with a range of specialist equipment including a MEWP (mobile elevating work platform), an 18 ton grab lorry, large capacity woodchippers, very capable stump grinders and skid steers with log grabs.
Aaron Walsh, Commercial Director commented: “We are very well placed to take on larger scale work such as estate management. We love working on historical sites and helping to preserve the estates for people to enjoy whether they visit today or in years to come.”
