Kai Chung-Mo, known to us as Mo, has just graduated from our Training Academy as a fully qualified Arborist.
Mo recently achieved his SEG Award Level 2 Certificate in Arboriculture, which he studied at Myerscough College, alongside practical on the job experience.
Mo has an interesting background having come to the UK from Hong Kong a little over two years ago to start at the Academy.
Having spent his earlier life in Hong Kong, Mo studied for his degree there in Landscape Management, Arboriculture and Horticulture, and then started a job there with a government tree team. However, his dream was to leave Hong Kong and develop his skills in a new part of the world. He applied to the Artemis Academy and was delighted to be offered a place, so he made the move to the UK.
Mo hasn’t looked back since. He really enjoys his work here. Loving outdoor work, the opportunity really appealed to him.
Mo commented: “I’ve always wanted to be an Arborist and I was keen to work in the UK and learn more about their trees. The Artemis Academy has given me the chance to follow my dream. I love the outdoor work and being in a hands-on role. Put simply, I love climbing trees.”
Mo isn’t just focused on the short term. He knows he can’t work physically for ever so will continue to study and widen his skills. He’s keen to learn more about tree consultancy and inspections.
Aside from his love of trees, Mo is a keen player of video games, but combines this with an outdoor lifestyle. He enjoys walking around parks and exploring the UK, listing Kew Gardens as one of his favourite places so far.
Here at Artemis, we are proud to have another new graduate from our scheme and look forward to helping Mo meet his future career aspirations in Arboriculture. Well done, Mo!
