It’s been a couple of years since Artemis Tree Services was voted Employer of the Year at the Horticulture Week Business Awards. However we like to think we’re still a great company to work for and now our staff are voting with their feet by encouraging their own family members to come work with them at Artemis.
Our latest apprentice at Artemis sees our first father and son team. Aston joined our apprenticeship scheme after his dad, Yard Manager Scott, recommended he sign up for it. Scott has been overseeing the smooth running of the yard and felt the team spirit amongst the arborists and comprehensive training offered on the apprenticeship scheme would make an excellent place for Aston to start his career path.
Artemis also has a mother and daughter team based in the office. Ashleigh has worked at Artemis for 5 years and when we needed extra help to keep our ever busier office operating efficiently, she recommended her daughter Lucy. Ashleigh and Lucy are in the office at different times working in a job share and seamlessly pick up where the other leaves off.
Last but not least we have our longest standing family employees, brothers Aaron and Billy. Commercial Director Aaron and Estimator Billy have worked at Artemis for a combined 18 years. They’re often asked which brother is the eldest – can you tell?
