Ed Honeywood, one of our apprentices here at Artemis, recently received the accolade of this year’s ‘Best Trees and Timber Apprentice’ on completion of his apprenticeship course. Described by the college as an excellent apprentice and a pleasure to teach, he achieved his industry certificates and is on track to become an excellent arborist.
Artemis Managing Director, Simon N’Jie, is extremely happy with Ed and his progress, saying:
“As soon as Ed arrived for his interview last year, I knew he would become an excellent employee. He was on time, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, well presented and intelligent. Ed has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, he works incredibly hard and all the other team members love working with him. His hard work has paid off as he is flying through the assessments at college and is always hungry to take on new skills and courses in his own time. I feel Artemis has been incredibly lucky to find Ed.”
Capel Manor College has recently released its newly revised government-approved apprenticeship called the ‘Arborist Standard’ programme, which aims to deliver the most highly qualified young tree surgeons the UK arborist industry has ever had. We are proud to announce that two of Artemis’s current apprentices are in the first group of students, working their way through to qualification.
