Artemis is very proud to be supporting one of our team, Ben Wilson, in his National Three Peaks Challenge this weekend raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health.
Ben, who joined Artemis on our apprentice scheme, will be climbing the three highest peaks on the British mainland (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowden in Wales) over 3 days, walking 23 miles (37km) over a total ascent of 3,064 metres (10,052ft).
Fundraising via Movember, the leading charity concerned with improving men’s health, Ben is hoping to play a part in reducing the rate of male suicide in the UK. The cause is close to his heart after losing his best friend to suicide this year.
Crediting tree work with helping his own mental health, Ben says:
“The physically demanding nature of the job as well as the working with the natural environment has proved invaluable to my mental state”
Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, Artemis is donating the equivalent spend to sponsor Ben in his challenge. If you would like to sponsor Ben you can find out more here:
