In an impressive display of skill, determination and agility, Marcin Nowak, one of our top climbers here at Artemis Tree Services, secured an impressive third-place finish in the Expert Climbing Competition held during this year’s ARB Show. Marcin’s exceptional performance showcased his commitment to his craft and solidified his reputation as a rising star in the world of competitive tree climbing.
Held at Westonbirt Arboretum near Bath, The ARB Show, an annual event that celebrates the art and science of arboriculture, attracted top-notch climbers from around the world to showcase their abilities on the grand stage at Westonbirt. With its breath-taking tree-lined landscapes and challenging terrain, Westonbirt provided an ideal setting for the climbers to push their limits and compete against fellow arborists.
Marcin joined Artemis Tree Services in 2017 as a trainee and has been climbing for 5 years. He set his sights on this year’s competition after attending the ARB show in 2019, (the last time the show was held), and has been fine tuning his skills for the last 4 years.
The Expert Climbing Competition brought together an elite group of climbers, each vying for the coveted top spot. Participants were faced with a challenging tree that tested their agility, strength, and problem-solving abilities. As the competition unfolded, Marcin demonstrated remarkable skill and finesse in navigating the course. Scaling a huge tree and executing intricate manoeuvres with precision, he showcased his ability and didn’t put a foot wrong.
In what turned out to be a closely contested event that pushed climbers to their limits, Marcin emerged as one of the standout performers. With an unwavering focus and determination, he took each challenge in his stride, impressing spectators and his colleagues from Artemis who were attending the show with him, including Managing Director Simon N’Jie.
