We are delighted that another apprentice has just graduated from our Training Academy as a fully qualified Arborist.
Maxwell Dingley-Butt recently achieved his SEG Award Level 2 Certificate in Arboriculture. This was gained with practical on the job experience combined with theoretical study with Myerscough College.
Maxwell came into tree surgery following a total career change and with no experience of Arboriculture beforehand. He worked as a hairdresser before he came to us. However, he craved the outdoor live and working with nature. He wanted a completely different challenge. Since starting with Artemis, he hasn’t looked back – he loves it.
Maxwell commented: “I wasn’t enjoying life as a hairdresser. I decided it wasn’t the career for me. Tree work gives me an adrenalin rush and the thought of climbing a tree for a living was very enticing. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s fun, rewarding and I love working outside.”
Now that he’s in the industry, Maxwell doesn’t see himself ever leaving. He wants to continue to progress and develop skills to the highest technical level.
In his spare time, Maxwell likes going to the gym, playing the guitar, and partying. Sounds like now he’s made the career change, he is certainly enjoying life.
Here at Artemis, we are proud to have another graduate from our scheme and look forward to helping Maxwell progress his career in Arboriculture. Well done, Maxwell!
