REFLECTIONS ON 2023: A YEAR IN REVIEW

We start off the New Year by taking a look back at 2023 – a year that provided some key highlights for us at Artemis Tree Services.

Perhaps our biggest celebration was our 25^th Birthday. Founded by Simon N’Jie, the company has grown from humble beginnings to become a trusted and respected name in the tree care industry and today we have over 30 employees.

We were also proud achieve 10 years of being an ARB Approved Contractor – only 2% of those in the industry achieve their gold standard for arboricultural contracting throughout the UK and Ireland.

We were also delighted to have been awarded CHAS Accreditation at Advanced Level again – an achievement which we have now enjoyed for the last 10 years. CHAS is a trusted provider of Health and Safety (H&S) assessments, and is a widely recognised and trusted scheme, demonstrating that as a company we maintain the highest standards of risk management.

2023 also marked five years of our Artemis Academy, which was set up as a strategic response to the challenges of recruiting skilled individuals. It has proven to be a resounding success in securing the future of Artemis Tree Services. The Academy has allowed us to become a company that solely employs its own staff.

In the spring we attended the Pro Landscaper Business Awards 2023 where one of our team, Maxwell was shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award. We have also just crowned one of our Arborists Louie East as Employee of the Year – an accolade voted for by his fellow colleagues.

During 2023 the company has continued to grow our customer base and we now work with residential, commercial, and public sector clients, providing tailored arboricultural solutions to meet each client’s unique needs, from routine maintenance to large-scale tree management projects.

We pride ourselves on retaining loyal customers year on year and continue to achieve great feedback from our customers for our work, proudly achieving 44 five-star reviews during the year.

So, looking back it’s certainly not been a quiet year for us! With our continued commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, Artemis Tree Services has made a significant impact on preserving and maintaining trees in our region and we will strive to continue this good work in 2024.

The survey outlined what would be required, advised on any contact for consent from neighbours if required and what the short and long term expectations would be. The team that undertook the extreme pruning of fir trees on the boundary of my property were polite, engaging, professional and made sure I was happy with the end result. Never having had to engage a tree services before I had no idea of pricing and was more than surprised at the value for money. Meticulously clearing up afterwards and removing all debris the same day. Plus points, everything, negative points, none. I would most highly recommend.

I needed some fir trees trimmed back as they were overgrowing the border fence . From the very first contact right through to the completion of works their whole team were always prompt and on time , professional , knowledgeable and efficient . There was regular communication and reminders leading up to the booked appointment . During the initial survey and appointment everything was explained and my inquisitive questions engaged and answered. They completed the work and cleared up everything . Great service and would definitely use them again .

Two guys that did the work were friendly, organised and probably left the garden looking tidier than when they started. Thoroughly recommended.

Artemis took down two lime trees who's roots had damaged the garage floor and were an inch away from the foundations of the house . The trees were in a very awkward place to get to but this didn't see... The trees were in a very awkward place to get to but this didn't seem to trouble this highly competent team. The team were extremely well equipped , and they worked together like a well oiled machine. We were delighted with their work, tidiness and very pleasant manner. And it was at a fair price.
